Accrediting Agency for Healthcare Education Programs Practice Test 2026 - Free Healthcare Education Practice Questions and Study Guide

The important idea here is which organization sets the official standards and grants accreditation for education that leads to working as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. The recognized accrediting body is the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s Council on Academic Accreditation (ASHA-CAA). This body establishes the standards for programs in communication sciences and disorders, including those that train SLPA personnel, to ensure quality in curriculum, supervision, clinical experiences, and outcomes. Programs that prepare individuals to work as SLPAs are accredited under these ASHA-CAA standards, ensuring alignment with the field’s practices and supervision requirements. The other organizations oversee different fields—radiologic technology, physical therapy, or a broader set of allied health programs—and do not provide accreditation specifically for SLPA education.
